Founded from a God-inspired vision to minister the love of God to troubled young men and families.
A ministry shaped by faithful leadership
Loving Hands Ministries was founded in 1982 by Wendell and Nancy Wilson. The ministry was chartered by the State of Florida in 1984, and the first Regeneration Center opened in Bradenton that same year.
Loving Hands established its second location in Dade City in 1992. In 1993, the ministry vision extended into India through churches, a Bible college, a training center, a Christian school, and an orphanage.
Under the Wilsons, dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters have seen God change lives and destinies through the love of Christ in action.
Milestones
1962
Wendell Wilson begins the pastoral ministry that would later shape Loving Hands.
1982
Wendell and Nancy Wilson founded Loving Hands Ministries from a God-inspired vision.
1984
The ministry was chartered in Florida and opened the first Regeneration Center in Bradenton.
1992
Loving Hands opened its second Florida location in Dade City.
1993
The ministry vision expanded into India through churches, education, and care ministries.
1995
The ministry purchased the ten-acre Palmetto campus, growing from the original Bradenton center.
1998
Campus buildings were converted to expand residential housing at Palmetto.
2016
Wendell and Nancy Wilson went home to Heaven. Their legacy continues across every campus.
Love in action
The ministry continues the Wilsons' legacy by serving men and families through residential discipleship, local churches, volunteers, donors, and community partners. The heartbeat remains simple: love covers a multitude of sins.
